KONECTA FOUNDATION (“KONECTA”) informs you, through this cookie policy (hereinafter, the “Cookie Policy”), about the use of data storage and retrieval devices on the terminal equipment of users who access the website: https://www.konectafoundation.org/es/ (hereinafter, the “Web”).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are files or archives that are downloaded to the computer/smartphone/tablet of the user, when accessing certain websites and applications, which allow the storage and retrieval of the user’s data. Cookies are used for different purposes, such as recognizing you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits and adapting the way in which content is displayed.

2. What cookies do we use?

  • Own cookies: own cookies are those sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by KONECTA and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

The information is stored only during the session and disappears when the session ends. Persistent cookies, however, remain stored on the computer for a determined period of time even after the session has ended.
  • Technical or essential cookies: these cookies allow the Web to function correctly, so they are necessary for the user to be able to use all the options of the Web and to be able to browse and use the Web’s functions normally.
  • Personalization cookies: these are those that allow remembering information that allows the user to access the Web with some features that make their experience different from that of other users, for example, the language, the type of browser through which the service is performed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
  • Analytics cookies: are those that allow the monitoring and analysis of the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impacts of advertisements, where appropriate. The information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of the Web and for the elaboration of browsing profiles of the users, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the data on the use made by the users of the service.
  • Advertising Cookies: are those that store information on the behavior of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on the same.

3. Are international data transfers made with the use of cookies?

The acceptance of some of these cookies may involve the international transfer of data to third countries necessary for the operation of the services of our suppliers. The legal basis for such transfer is your consent, expressed by consenting to the use of cookies in each case concerned. In any case, international data transfers will be made to countries with an adequate level of protection declared by the European Commission and/or based on the provision of appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses (Articles 45 and 46 of the General Data Protection Regulation).

4. How to disable cookies?

7. What are the consequences of disabling cookies?

If the user rejects non-essential cookies or disables cookies after having previously accepted them, this may affect the functioning of some features of the Web. For example, among other things, information about the acceptance of the cookie banner will not be saved, and it will therefore be shown again on the next visit.

Likewise, we will not be able to collect information about users’ browsing activity on the Web, which will prevent or make it more difficult to improve the information and content we publish, as well as its presentation.

The structure and functionality of the Web may be modified to add new sections, services or content, which may result in changes to the use of cookies and, therefore, to our Cookie Policy.
