Our partner for this edition: Fundación Lesionado Medular
All funds raised will go directly to the Fundación Lesionado Medular (FLM)—a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries by supporting their autonomy and independence. Specifically, proceeds will support the FLM’s “Escuela de Nuevas Tecnologías” project, which offers training in digital tools adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Konecta Foundation will donate 100% of the proceeds to FLM, a long-time partner and national leader in accessibility, mobility, and neurorehabilitation research. FLM supports the comprehensive development of individuals with severe spinal cord injuries and dependency through a wide range of services: an integrated rehabilitation center, adapted residence facilities, children’s programs, and five specialized schools (New Technologies, Visual Arts, Radio, Audiovisual Media, and Adaptive Sports). These programs currently serve 260 students weekly, helping participants build skills, regain independence, foster social inclusion, and prepare for re-entry into the workforce.
The “Escuela de Nuevas Tecnologías” teaches the use of digital accessibility tools—such as eye-controlled computers, adapted keyboards, and voice recognition software—helping participants bridge the digital divide and boost their employability.
