From Peru to global impact: advancing employability through skills and technology

At Konecta Foundation, community development and employability are not isolated initiatives, but part of a broader, long term commitment to creating inclusive opportunities at scale. Across regions, the Foundation works to equip individuals with the skills, tools and pathways needed to access the labor market, while supporting local ecosystems that enable sustainable social impact.
This approach is built on three key pillars: skills development, digital inclusion and access to employment opportunities, always in close collaboration with local partners who understand the specific needs of their communities.
A concrete example: strengthening employability in Peru
In Peru, this commitment takes shape through a recent initiative in Hualmay, Huacho, where Konecta Foundation, together with Konecta, delivered a significant technology donation to support technical education and workforce readiness .
The initiative provided 40 computers, valued at S/ 95,949, to CETPRO La Sagrada Familia, a leading technical training center in the region. By equipping students with modern digital tools, the project directly enhances their ability to develop practical skills aligned with current market demands, ultimately improving their employability prospects .
Beyond the equipment itself, the initiative reflects a broader ambition: to bridge the digital divide and enable access to quality education as a pathway to employment.
As highlighted by Leyla Begazo, Talent Management and Sustainability Manager at Konecta in Peru and Konecta Foundation Ambassador:
“For us, sustainability means driving the growth of our communities. This partnership with the Diocese of Huacho ensures that our technological contribution reaches the heart of CETPRO La Sagrada Familia, strengthening quality technical education that empowers people and helps bridge the digital divide in our country.”
Through partnerships with local institutions such as the Diocese of Huacho and CETPRO, the Foundation ensures that its actions are deeply rooted in the realities of the communities it serves .
From local action to global impact
While the Peru case illustrates a tangible intervention, it is one of many initiatives deployed globally. From training programs and digital upskilling to employability pathways and community engagement projects, Konecta Foundation continuously works to scale its impact across regions.
Each initiative, regardless of its size or geography, contributes to the same objective: empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and creating sustainable access to employment opportunities.
By combining local action with a global vision, Konecta Foundation is building an ecosystem where talent can grow, communities can thrive, and inclusive economic development becomes a reality.
