Rebuilding lives together

Madrid, September 24, 2025. The 20th Konecta Foundation Charity Padel Tournament, held this Saturday at La Ciudad de la Raqueta (Madrid), brought together more than 350 people, including players and attendees, for a solidarity event that has become a classic of inclusive sport and social commitment.
This flagship event was made possible thanks to the support of Fundación AON España, WAIR Facility Services, Grupo EULEN, Grupo MHF, Ilunion, Aire Limpio, and other partner organizations, which once again enabled a day of sport, awareness, and solidarity. The event also received support from Fundación También, represented by its president Teresa Silva, a national leader in adapted sports.
Presided over by José María Pacheco, Chairman of Konecta Foundation, the tournament celebrated its twentieth edition as a landmark in the solidarity sports calendar. More than 80 pairs took part in men’s, women’s, mixed, and adapted categories, the latter featuring wheelchair players who once again demonstrated that inclusive sport is both possible and essential. “Celebrating 20 years alongside so many partners makes this deeply moving. Sport has the power to transform lives, and this tournament is proof of that,” Pacheco added.
Once again this year, an awareness court was set up in collaboration with Fundación También, allowing attendees to experience first-hand the challenges of adapted sports and reflect on accessibility and inclusion.
In addition, the tournament showcased a success story from the Hub Empleo Verde, promoted by Konecta Foundation and JPMorganChase in Madrid, featuring young entrepreneurs Rodrigo and Santiago, creators of AC3D, a startup that produces recyclable padel balls through 3D printing, aimed at reducing the sport’s environmental impact through a circular economy model.
This year, funds raised through participation, raffle ticket sales, and donations will go to the Fundación del Lesionado Medular (FLM). Specifically, they will support its New Technologies School, a program that provides adapted digital training to people with spinal cord injuries, enhancing their autonomy and employability.
“I want to thank Konecta Foundation, all the participants, and the collaborating companies for their commitment and generosity. Thanks to their support, we can continue developing programs that transform the lives of many people with spinal cord injuries and their families. This tournament is an example of how sport, solidarity, and social innovation can come together to build a fairer and more inclusive society,” said Ken Mizukubo, president of FLM.
Once again, the tournament was hosted by Michi Primo de Rivera, who brought humor, warmth, and dynamism to a day marked by collective emotion and solidarity.
Over its two decades of history, the Konecta Foundation Charity Padel Tournament has raised more than €430,000, supporting 25 social organizations and improving the lives of more than 5,000 vulnerable people, thanks to the participation of more than 5,700 players and volunteers.
