Aula-TIC – Empowering people with intellectual disabilities through technology

Long-running digital inclusion and employability program for a vulnerable group

Since 2009, Konecta Foundation and Down Madrid, in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), have run the Aula-TIC program to enhance the digital skills of people with intellectual disabilities, promoting autonomy and employment opportunities. Each year, the program trains 20 students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities who are highly motivated to learn and grow in the digital world.

Three lines of action:

  • Training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for people with intellectual disabilities
