Konecta Foundation’s Professional Training School and Banco Santander reopen their training program to promote employability and job placement

Rebuilding lives together

  • The program, which combines training in sales techniques, digital skills, and specific content on Banco Santander’s services, kicks off a new course with more than 20 students.
  • Since its launch, the School has trained and certified 105 people in vulnerable situations, achieving an 85% job placement rate.

Madrid, July 18, 2025. Konecta Foundation and Banco Santander yesterday celebrated the launch of a new edition of their Professional Training School, a joint initiative designed to improve the employability of individuals in vulnerable circumstances. The event took place at the Aranda Training Center in Madrid, where the training program will be delivered over the coming weeks.

This new edition welcomes more than 20 participants pre‑selected by Konecta Foundation to be trained by the Foundation’s team, as well as Konecta and Banco Santander’s Human Capital teams. Various social organizations collaborated in the recruitment process, including Fundación ONCE, Cáritas, Red Cross, Fundación MUM, the Madrid Employment Office, and associations supporting the hearing-impaired community such as FESORCAM, CNSE, Asomadrid, and IELSE.

The training, which began on June 30, is divided into two phases: an initial phase focused on sales techniques and digital competences, and a second phase dedicated to specific training in Banco Santander’s products and processes. Participants work with the company’s quality manual and financial glossary to become familiar with its terminology and procedures. In addition, they receive coaching sessions, office software training, inspiring talks—such as the one given by Beatriz Trigueros, a former student of the program—and personalized support from the Konecta Foundation team.

The program is designed to facilitate access to employment in the customer service sector, an area with strong demand for specialized talent. Graduates are expected to begin their new roles on August 25.

Since its launch, the Konecta Foundation Professional Training School has trained over 100 individuals, maintaining a job placement rate of 85%.

“This project proves that collaboration between the business sector and the nonprofit sector can drive meaningful social impact by providing real tools to those who need them most,,” says Graciela de la Morena, Director of Konecta Foundation.

Juan Carlos Andaranz, Director of Clients at Konecta Spain, adds:

“Banco Santander’s support has been instrumental in driving this initiative and facilitating employment opportunities. At Konecta, we are committed to creating real job prospects and supporting students with a dedicated team experienced in social integration. We encourage participants to make the most of this opportunity and prepare for a successful career.”

Meanwhile, Gregorio Pantoja, Director of Digital Sales & Service at Banco Santander Spain, notes:

“The Konecta Foundation’s Professional Training School offers something truly transformative: training that changes lives. What makes it unique is the human connection between participants and instructors, and the unwavering commitment of the entire team. At Banco Santander, we deeply believe in these initiatives and will continue to support them because they foster personal and professional growth for all involved.”

This collaboration, which began in 2021, continues to serve as a model for strategic partnerships that integrate social action, training, and employability.
